The 40 Days for Life fall campaign began with an inspiring presentation by Dr. Martin McCaffrey at Our Lady of Lourdes. Dr. McCaffrey, a Professor of Pediatrics at UNC Chapel Hill in the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, shared his expertise and deep compassion for families facing challenging prenatal diagnoses.
A retired U.S. Navy Captain and Director of the Perinatal Quality Collaborative of North Carolina, Dr. McCaffrey has dedicated his career to improving care for infants and supporting families through difficult medical journeys. As a board member of both the International Trisomy Alliance and Be Not Afraid, he continues to provide medical and emotional support to families whose unborn or newborn children face serious health conditions.
This special evening was co-sponsored by the Pro-Life Committees of St. Joseph and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Churches in Raleigh, bringing the community together to reaffirm a shared commitment to the dignity and protection of every human life.
