DeSales Service Works

DeSales Service Works is a Catholic service organization sponsored by the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales based in the heart of Camden, New Jersey.  At Holy Infant, we have used this model to create our own service retreats for youth with adult chaperones here in the Durham Community. 

A DSW day is an opportunity to spend time in service, prayer and reflection to be God's hands and feet to our community.

A typical DSW day involves:

• Working with a community organization to share Christ's love
• Salesian spirituality and reflection
• Social fun with teens at Holy Infant!

There is no cost to participate! Exact meeting times will vary depending on the needs of the location we are serving, but the typical time range is ~9am-3pm. Teens should bring their own lunch and water bottle.

In 2025, we will serve at the Durham Community Food Pantry, Urban Ministries of Durham, Welcome Baby, and the North Carolina Diaper Bank!
