Join us at Holy Infant for an evening concert featuring Jaime Cortez and his music.
The concert will showcase Jaime's gift for bringing people together through music, including selections from his English, Spanish, and bilingual repertoire. His music reflects the beautiful diversity of the Catholic Church while reminding us that, regardless of the language we speak, we are one people in Christ.
Jaime's repertoire includes well-known pieces such as Rain Down, Somos el Cuerpo de Cristo/We Are the Body of Christ, and Take Up Your Cross, along with music from his collections Pueblo Unido/People United, Transformation, Sacramentos, and others.
Everyone is welcome! Come experience an uplifting evening of faith, music, and community.Saturday, September 19 | 1:00–5:00 p.m.
Musicians from throughout the area are invited to join Jaime for a special afternoon workshop focused on serving people through music ministry.
Whether you regularly serve as a cantor, choir member, instrumentalist, worship leader, or music minister—or simply want to grow in your understanding of liturgical music—this workshop is open to you.
And Jaime is ready to make it interactive! He has prepared to move fluidly between English and Spanish throughout the workshop, giving participants the opportunity to experience firsthand how music can bridge languages and cultures rather than simply talking about it.
Area musicians are encouraged to attend and bring their instruments! The weekend will culminate with Jaime joining the Holy Infant Music Ministry at all weekend Masses.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for our parish community to experience Jaime's music within the celebration of the Eucharist in our liturgical life.
Jaime's Pueblo Unido/People United collection specifically celebrates the cultural diversity of the U.S. Catholic Church through English, Spanish, and bilingual music, with the goal of helping communities worship together across languages and generations.
