Looking for a way to make a tangible difference in someone’s life? Neighbor to Neighbor is an outreach ministry that brings dignity, comfort, and hope to our neighbors in need by providing furniture and household items to families and individuals transitioning into new homes.
This includes:
Picking up and receiving donations of gently used, fully functional household items
Distributing furniture and essentials to families in Durham Housing Authority communities
Helping families move from shelters to homes—many supported by Families Moving Forward
Furnishing homes for refugees sponsored by Church World Service as they start new lives in Durham
Each delivery is more than a drop-off—it’s a gesture of welcome, stability, and love.
Volunteer your time to help with pickups, deliveries, or organizing items
Donate gently used, clean, and fully functioning household items
Smaller items may be dropped off at Duke Memorial on Sunday mornings or by appointment
For furniture and large items, use the “Donation Pick-Up Request” form available online
We invite you to join this vibrant ministry and walk with our neighbors as they build new beginnings. Together, we can turn empty spaces into homes—and strangers into friends.
