Holy Infant Catholic Church recently demonstrated its strong commitment to justice and advocacy through Bread for the World's 2025 Offering of Letters. Thanks to the leadership of parishioner Lloyd S. and the generous participation of our community, parishioners wrote and submitted a total of 194 letters to members of Congress, urging lawmakers to support policies that help end hunger in the United States.
The campaign yielded the following impact:
89 letters to Senator Thom Tillis
60 letters to Senator Ted Budd
44 letters to Representative Valerie Foushee
1 letter to Representative Deborah Ross
This outpouring of advocacy reflects Holy Infant’s deep commitment to Catholic social teaching, particularly the call to defend the dignity of every person and protect the vulnerable. By participating in this national campaign through Bread for the World, parishioners used their voices to influence public policy on behalf of those who are hungry and in need.
Thank you to all who took the time to write, and to Lloyd for coordinating this impactful effort. Through faithful advocacy, we continue to live out the Gospel and build a more just and compassionate world.
