In the past year, the Pantry has served over 75,000 people who might otherwise go without adequate food. As a way to help continue this work, and to honor your loved ones this Christmas, we invite you to take part in the Durham Community Food Pantry’s Christmas honor card program. This is a thoughtful way to send your love to family and friends while also helping your neighbors in need.
The card is not just a greeting; it’s a statement of solidarity. It’s saying: I remember you, and I remember our neighbors who face hardship. It’s a way of inviting people into a more generous, connected way of living.
If you’d like to participate:
Choose how many cards you’d like to purchase (minimum $10 each) and provide recipient names/addresses.
If you’d prefer to mail the cards yourself, just let the Pantry know the number of cards you’d like.
Remember: your gift qualifies as a charitable tax-deductible donation.
As we enter this season of preparation, may this act be one small way to live the Gospel: remembering the lowly, feeding the hungry, honoring the worth of every person. And may each card you send carry more than ink and paper, but hope, connection, and care.
