Disability Pride Month is celebrated every July and is an opportunity to honor the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the disability community. Why July? It marks the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which broke down barriers to inclusion in our society.
Wheelchair access is available in the narthex and there are several areas within the church that can accommodate a wheelchair. Assistive listening devices can be obtained from one of the greeters. If you need to receive Holy Communion at your seat, inform a greeter and an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion will bring it to you. If you require a gluten-free host, inform the sacristan before mass. Our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion also bring the Eucharist to the sick and homebound. Arrangements can be made by contacting Lynn Sale or by calling 919-973-0018.
