DSW: July Wrap Up

Teens Making a Difference Together at DSW! On July 10th and 18th, teams of dedicated teens from our community worked together in the Food Pantry and Welcome Baby projects as part of the DeSales Service Works Days (DSW) held throughout the summer. 

The collective spirit of the event was captured through a shared reflection on what made this experience unique. "Witnessing firsthand the impact you make in the community is what made my experience special," shared Jackson Stoj, one of the teens. The most memorable moments for him at the Food Pantry were “handing out the food to the community,” and at Welcome Baby, it was “volunteering with church friends.” These events gave him insight into caring for those in need. 

The Welcome Baby project, like all DSW events, emphasized the importance of community and solidarity. The teens' enthusiasm and dedication were evident as they worked together to support families in need. Their efforts exemplify the core values of service and compassion that our community holds dear at Holy Infant Catholic Church. 

DSW will volunteer at Urban Ministries on August 13th. Stay tuned for more inspiring DSW stories!
