October 28, 2025Holy Infant's Caring for Our Common Home Ministry invites you to take simple, practical steps to care for God's creation. Every action, big or small, helps protect the beautiful world entrusted to us.
Easy: Recycle plastic when possible.
Challenging: Go beyond recycling by refusing and reducing plastic use. Not all plastic placed in recycling bins actually gets recycled, and even recyclable plastic can only be reused a few times. Choose glass or metal containers when you can, they last longer and are better for the environment.
Easy: Skip plastic soap dispensers. Try bar dish soap, bar hand soap, or refillable containers.
Challenging: Use biodegradable detergents at home and work to help keep our waterways clean. Avoid disposable plastics whenever possible.
Easy: Have clothing too worn to donate? Repurpose it into cleaning rags.
Challenging: Care for the clothes you already own. Spot clean instead of washing after every wear, and mend or patch items to extend their life.
