I urge you to protect and strengthen domestic and global nutrition programs.
I urge you to make ending hunger a top priority.
Give reasons for your request and make it personal.
Share a personal reason or story that motivated you to write.
Show our church’s commitment: “My church is helping address hunger by sponsoring meals at a Durham soup kitchen and homeless shelter. I urge you to do your part by fully funding and strengthening our nation’s pro-family, life-affirming nutrition assistance programs.”
Write your name (print your name after your signature) and address at the end of your letter, so that your member of Congress knows that you are one of their constituents.
To maximize our letters’ impact, we will personally deliver written letters to the Raleigh offices of our two U.S. Senators and the Durham office of Rep. Valerie Foushee in April.
If you are interested in joining the delegation visiting one of these offices, please email your interest to [email protected]. (Letters to other U.S. Representatives will be mailed to their DC offices.) To send a personalized email, go to bread.org/emailOL.
