Across our Diocese this year, many parishioners have felt a renewed call to live out Jesus’ words in Matthew 25, welcoming the stranger and caring for those most in need. This call feels especially urgent right now, as many migrants and refugees are living with heightened fear and anxiety around immigration enforcement. In response, parishioners from around the Diocese are coming together in prayer, trusting that prayer can be a powerful source of hope, courage, and solidarity.
You are invited to join a diocesan-wide Rosary for Migrants and Refugees, prayed via Zoom and led by parishioners from different parishes throughout the Diocese. Each gathering will focus on a different set of mysteries, offering us a chance to pray intentionally for vulnerable migrants, refugees, and their families, and to ask God to help us respond with compassion and love.
Rosary Schedule (all at Noon, Eastern Time):
Tuesday, January 27 – Sorrowful Mysteries
Wednesday, February 4 – Glorious Mysteries
Thursday, February 12 – Luminous Mysteries
The same Zoom link will be used for all sessions:
Meeting ID: 817 6020 7342
Passcode: 4n3hYc
If you would like to preview the prayers that will be used during the Rosary, you can find them here.
Together, may we place our trust in God, lift up our brothers and sisters who are vulnerable, and continue to grow as a Church that welcomes, accompanies, and loves, just as Christ calls us to do.
