VBC 2021: Digging for Treasure

Vacation Bible Camp returned as a three-day Bible- and activity-based learning experience this year. It was such a joy to see our campers back in person! This year, we dug for treasure as Jesus’ parables were revealed to us through song, dance, drama/plays, storytelling, art, games and snacks. 

It’s pretty awesome how VBC isn’t the only time we hear Jesus’ parables.  In fact, we hear from Jesus every Sunday in the Gospel reading! The beauty of living in God’s Word is that new discoveries happen when you least expect them! 

Here's an overview of what kids learned during VBC this year: 

Day 1: It’s a Secret
Bible Verses: Matthew 13:10-11, 16
Purpose Statement: God will help us understand.

Day 2: Listen Up
Bible Verses: Mark 4:2-9, 13-20
Purpose Statement: God’s Word can grow in us.

Day 3: It’s Growing
Bible Verses: Matthew 13:31-33
Purpose Statement: Small things can become great with God.

Bible Memory Verse: 1 John 4:7-9
 
The Faith Development Office would like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to all of the parents & adult volunteers for helping Jesus' parables come to life through Digging for Treasure VBC: Ms. Jodi, Ms. Molly, Ms. Audrey, Ms. Renee, Ms. Cha-Keisha, Ms. Midge, Mr. Julio, Ms. Deb, and Ms. Mandy, as well as all of our wonderful youth/teen crew leaders and station leaders.  We couldn’t do it without you!
