We are pleased to welcome Fr. Mark Plaushin, OSFS, PhD to Holy Infant from October 16th–18th. Fr. Mark serves as the Archivist for the North American Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, a role he has held for the past three years.
Fr. Mark brings a rich and varied background in education, pastoral ministry, military service, and community outreach. He served in secondary and higher education and in numerous pastoral care positions. He also founded a faith-based volunteer corps that placed university graduates in one-year ministry positions serving Philadelphia’s urban poor.
A retired U.S. Army Colonel, Fr. Mark served as an Infantryman, Chaplain, and Cultural Affairs Officer in locations including Asia, Southwest Asia, Central America, and throughout the United States. He earned his PhD in Public Policy and Administration.
In addition to his work with the Oblates, Fr. Mark ministers with people affected by addiction in Cecil and Harford Counties and serves as Archivist for the Northeastern Maryland Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous.
